Executive Summary

Okay, here's a summary of the video based on the transcript, covering the key updates discussed.

This video dives into key updates across several crypto projects, offering insights on potential airdrops, new staking options, and important project news. It touches on platforms like Jupiter, Linea, Sanctum, Kaito, Soneium, and even gives a quick look at Monad's Fantasy Top game, covering both opportunities and some frustrating issues.

Here are the specific updates and details:

  • Jupiter (JUP):

    • Voting for Jupiter's active staking rewards is open again, which is good because it's been a while.
    • They're voting on a new logo, changing the classic Jupiter symbol to a cat shape.
    • Personally, don't like the new cat logo at all.
    • Voting ends March 2nd and is necessary to earn active staking rewards, so make sure to participate. A link is available.
  • Babylon:

    • This is an update for those who participated in Bitcoin staking or related protocols.
    • There's a checker link available to see if you're eligible for airdrop registration.
    • Eligibility is divided into three groups: Phase 1 stakers, Phase 1 finality providers, and GitHub contributors.
    • If you staked through another service like Solve or Lombard, you need to check directly with that specific protocol to understand how you'll receive potential incentives.
  • Linea:

    • Following the previous news that the airdrop was delayed beyond Q1.
    • There's more bad news: The Linea team is currently discussing potentially filtering out users who have less than 1500 LXP.
    • They believe having low LXP might indicate a sybil account, even after they've already done proof of humanity and other sybil checks, which feels unfair.
    • Finds this unfair because the airdrop campaign has been running since 2023, and users who started later or put in a lot of liquidity early on might naturally have a lower LXP balance by the end.
    • It's really important for users to voice their concerns because the decision isn't finalized yet.
  • Sanctum (CLOUD):

    • Staking for the Cloud token went live a few days ago.
    • It works very similarly to Jupiter's active staking rewards: you stake your Cloud tokens, there's a 30-day unstaking period if you decide to pull them out.
    • Staking lets you participate in governance for the protocol.
    • By staking, you will earn rewards periodically in the form of more Cloud tokens.
  • Milky Way:

    • Doesn't personally farm this protocol anymore.
    • However, CoolCrypto found an NFT mint called Moolitia that happened a couple of days ago (so you can't mint directly anymore).
    • CoolCrypto believes that holding this Moolitia NFT might be a criteria for a potential Milky Way airdrop.
    • The NFT can be bought on the secondary market for around 21 TIA, which is roughly $60. This is just something to be aware of if you're still interested in Milky Way farming; it's not confirmed as a criteria.
  • Kaito (AI):

    • You can now use your staked Kaito tokens to vote on protocols.
    • This voting now shares the allocation previously reserved purely for the Genesis NFTs, based on factors like market cap.
    • This has resulted in many more protocols appearing on the leaderboard, trying to earn their own launchpad spot.
    • More importantly, the Kaito token price has actually gone up since its token generation event (TGE), which is a rare and positive outcome for an airdrop token, much like Hyperliquid and Grass also saw price increases post-TGE.
  • Play Memoria (Albert):

    • The pre-sale window for Albert has now opened.
    • Many people applied for the whitelist, and the process involved AI checks looking at application details and history to see if you'd cheated airdrops in the past.
    • Didn't get an allocation personally, which is attributed to being someone who's actively farming/cheating airdrops.
    • If you applied, you should check the link and connect your wallet to find out if you received an allocation for the pre-sale.
  • Soneium (SONY):

    • This is an L2 blockchain.
    • There's an opportunity to get a Soulbound OG badge by completing 45 transactions on the network.
    • You only have a couple of hours left to do these transactions.
    • A snapshot will be taken tonight or tomorrow (February 27th at 4 am UTC) to see who completed the transactions; you don't need to do a Galaxy campaign or anything separate, just hit the transaction count.
    • Getting OG badges from other protocols has sometimes been worth a few hundred dollars worth of tokens upon their launch.
    • There's no official word yet if Soneium will have a token, but completing the 45 transactions is a potential opportunity to position yourself for a future airdrop if they do launch one.
  • Monad Fantasy Top:

    • Gave a quick look at the game on the Monad testnet, as requested.
    • Finds the game currently very buggy and not working well on the testnet.
    • How it works: You build decks using cards. Look for yellow symbols on cards with high numbers, as higher numbers mean a higher score value.
    • Add cards with high numbers and special rarities (which multiply scores) to your deck.
    • You buy card fragments in the shop using Fmon (the testnet token), then use fragments to buy and open packs to get cards.
    • Once you have cards, you can participate in competitions by submitting your decks.
    • Playing the game helps generate transactions on the Monad testnet, which is potentially good for a future Monad airdrop, and you can also earn tickets for a chance to get whitelists for NFT projects.
  • Abstract:

    • There have been many requests for a guide on how to earn a lot of XP on Abstract.
    • Thinks that given the current market downturn, it's a good time to focus on farming opportunities like this.
    • Will be creating and releasing a dedicated video guide explaining how to earn Abstract XP soon.

Hey, what's good YouTube? Welcome back to the Brown Gent. Got some airdrop updates for you today. As always, nothing I say is financial advice. Make sure you follow me on Twitter, subscribe on YouTube, like and share the video. And if you want access to my paid services, they are linked down below. So let's get started with the first update, which is on Jupiter. It's been a while since we've had the ability to vote on something for their active staking rewards. And they've got a weird vote up right now. Basically, they're asking if you're okay with a new logo. Basically, they're turning the Jupiter logo that we sort of come to love, that sort of Jupiter symbol, to one that's in the shape of a cat. I personally don't like it. But either way, make sure you go in and you vote. The vote ends on March 2nd. This will earn you active staking rewards. Link is below. Link to everything, actually, I show is down below. The next update is on Babylon. So this is the Bitcoin staking. If you participated with this or any adjacent protocols, make sure you click this checker link. When you do, you'll come to this website where it asks you to connect your baby wallet. You might be confused because you don't have the opportunity to select Rabi wallet or anything else. Well, I implore you to take a read of their airdrop registration announcement. It's done in three phases. There are three groups who are eligible. The first is phase one stakers, right here. The second is phase one finality providers. And finally, GitHub repositories. But wait a second, what if you had staked, but you did it through something else like Solve or Lombard like I did? Well, in that case, you have to check with that protocol to understand how those potential incentives and rewards will be provided. So that's that right there. The next update, last time we talked about Linnea, I mentioned about how they were delaying their airdrop, no longer happening in Q1. Some more bad news today. I am vocal about this to support you guys. There is some discussion with the Linnea team right now of potentially filtering out users who have less than 1500 LXP because they think it's indicative of symbols. Now that is after proof of humanity and the civil checks they're already doing, which I think is not fair. And the reason I think it's not fair is number one, this airdrop campaign has been going on since 2023. Once we got to the end with Linnea Park, they said, hey, let's add LXPL. And now they want to filter out users if they had a low amount of LXP, which they may have if they started a little later, but provided a lot of liquidity up front. I don't think it's fair. Make sure your voice is heard because they still haven't made a decision. Next update is on Sanctum. This went live a few days ago. Basically, if you hold the cloud token, you can now stake it. This is going to act very similarly to Jupiter's active staking rewards in the sense that you stake your cloud. You know, when you stake it, it takes 30 days to unstake. And basically you participate in governance. And basically, if you do that, you will earn rewards on a periodic basis in the form of cloud token. The next update is on Milky Way. So I don't farm this anymore. Some of you might still believe in Celestia. If you do, CoolCrypto had found that there was an NFT mint a couple of days ago. It's too late for that. But he said that he believes that might be a criteria for the Milky Way airdrop. So if you're interested, I will link the place where you can buy it on the secondary market is 21Tia, which I believe is around $60. It's not confirmed. But hey, I just want to bring this to your attention. Like I said, I'm not farming this. Next update is you can now use staked Kito to vote on protocols. It is now going to share the allocation that was reserved purely for the Genesis NFTs based on sort of market cap. There's an equation in all that. But more importantly, what this has done is, number one, you have a lot more protocols on the leaderboard that are trying to, you know, earn their own launchpad. And then finally, the Kito token has actually gone up as a result of this. So if you head on to your airdrop, this is one of those rare airdrops, much like Hyperliquid and Grass, that has gone up following their token generation event. Now, we saw Ket and Wink on AVAX do very well. The Albert pre-sale was very hyped. Don't know how well it's going to do. But myself and a lot of crypto Twitter applied for this. They looked at AI. They looked at your history of whether or not you cheated airdrops. So I already knew that my application had a very low likelihood. But they have opened up the pre-sale window. So if you did apply, check the link. Once you connect your wallet, you'll find out if you got an allocation. And I didn't get one. Not surprised because I'm the biggest cheat. But maybe yours will be different. The next update is on the Sony L2 Soneum. Basically, you have a couple hours left if you want to complete the 45 transactions you need. Because if you do that, you will get the Soulbound OG badge. Now, I bring this up because we've seen this with other protocols. The OG badge has been worth a couple hundred tokens once they launch. We don't have any clarity yet if Sony will have a token. But if you've got the time to do 45 transactions, then there will be a snapshot taken. You don't have to do a Galaxy campaign or anything. I know some people are confused. There will just be a snapshot taken tonight or tomorrow, I guess, February 27th at 4 a.m. UTC. Now, some of you, I did promise that I was going to do a quick deep dive into the Fantasy Top on the Monad testnet. I do want to sort of mention what happened. Number one, it's so buggy. It doesn't work as well. So I just want to give you a quick synopsis on how the Monad testnet with Fantasy Top works. Number one, you want to be looking at these symbols here with the yellow. The bigger the number is, the higher the value the score is. You want to add as much of those high numbers as possible to a deck. If you have special rarities, they multiply by that number as well. And then finally, you can add cards by buying fragments. You go to the shop and you click on the buy button over here and you can drag this to actually purchase fragments. Now, obviously, like you have to have some fragments or some Fmon in your balance to do that. I've already spent some. Once you buy the fragments, you can then click on the packs and buy them, open them, claim them. And then you can participate in competitions. You go in here. I already submitted my decks, but basically you can add your own decks over here. I'll just show you mine right here. Click on it. You can see here I've basically not done too well, but that is sort of how it goes. I have to make some adjustments here, but it's pretty straightforward. The idea here is you participate. Obviously, it's good from a transaction standpoint, but also you can earn whitelists by earning tickets to a bunch of NFT projects. Now, I've gotten a lot of requests for an abstract guide on how to earn a lot of XP. So you know what? Given that there is some market downturn, I figure, you know what? There's a lot of people asking about it. So I will be making that video. Stay tuned. If you want to see that, make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video, share. As always, thank you guys so much for watching. Until next time, I'll see you in the next video. Bye.
